School Travel Plan

A school travel plan is a living document that sets out a number of practical ways to help reduce the amount of car trips made to a school, encourage more use of public transport, walking, cycling and scooting and to improve safety on the school journey.

The travel plan aims to raise awareness among pupils and parents of the harmful effects of increasing car use on children's health, safety and independence. It highlights the implications of travel choice and the benefits of encouraging more sustainable travel to school. Here is our School Travel Plan that has been put together with Kent's Jambuster team.

The following website are also useful for parents to talk to their children about being safe near roads. Please also think about what your child is wearing to school as we move towards winter. Being seen is important, so reflective markings on shoes or coats help make your child visible to drivers.
